NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is committed to delivering high-quality mental health services, and we are seeking a Specialist Doctor in Psychiatry to join our team.

The successful candidate will be based at Auchinlea Resource Centre in the north east of Glasgow, working closely with a well-developed and innovative multi-disciplinary team. This includes consultant psychiatrists, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and a Prescribing Pharmacist.

The post-holder will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients from the Auchinlea catchment area, including domiciliary visits, Court Reports, and Mental Health Act/Adults with Incapacity Act work. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to achieve Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must have full GMC Registration and a license to practice. A minimum of 10 years' medical work experience is required, with at least six years in a relevant specialty doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years' experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades, including from overseas, will also be accepted.
