About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE and Facilities Advisor to join our team at our Pontefract site. As a key member of the site HSE Pillar Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policy and embedding ISO requirements through the Intersnack Work System (IWS) HSE Pillar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of company HSE policy and embed ISO requirements through the IWS HSE Pillar at site level.
  • Coach and build capabilities for accident and incident investigations to ensure corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented.
  • Support the site HSE Lead with regulatory authorities and insurers on key matters such as Fire Risk Assessments, RIDDOR reporting, Emergency Planning, Discharge consents, and Improvement Plans.
  • Support risk reduction based on site Risk Assessments, including Fire, Machinery Safety, DSEAR, and PUWER Maintenance.
  • Engage, communicate, and be proactive and visible to support site improvements, behaviors, and culture, as well as capability building of HSE Pillar Tools.
  • Conduct internal Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy Health checks to ensure legal compliance and support the delivery of the HSE Master Plan to reduce risk and continuous improvement in HSE and Energy.
  • Manage the site's day-to-day facilities requirements, including ordering PPE and office supplies, budget control, and credit card management.
  • Carry out site audits in facilities areas in conjunction with Technical and HSE standards.
  • Update site communications boards and conduct regular auditing of suppliers.
About You

We are looking for a Health and Safety professional with good manufacturing experience who is looking to further develop their career in HSE. You will have a Nebosh Health and Safety Certificate and an Environmental Qualification - IEMA Certificate is desired. You will be able to demonstrate good influencing skills, experience of working with Safe Teams/Committees to drive improvements in culture and performance, and excellent understanding of relevant health and safety and Environment legislation/law and how it is practically applied.

You will be able to demonstrate effective Teamwork at both site levels and regional levels. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop your skills and competency to develop into our next site HSE Lead role, we would love to hear from you.
