We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team as a HSE & Facilities Advisor at our Pontefract site. As a key member of the site HSE Pillar Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of our company's HSE policy and embedding ISO requirements through the Intersnack Work System (IWS) HSE Pillar.
Key Responsibilities- Support the site HSE Lead in implementing and embedding the IWS HSE Pillar at site level, including facilitating change and striving for Zero losses.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, identify corrective and preventative actions, and deliver site trainings to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Support the site HSE Lead with regulatory authorities and insurers on matters such as Fire Risk Assessments, RIDDOR reporting, Emergency Planning, Discharge consents & Improvement Plans.
- Support risk reduction based on site Risk assessments, including Fire, Machinery Safety, DSEAR, and PUWER Maintenance.
- Engage with the Safety Committee to support the management of Employee Liability claims in conjunction with Employee Health and Wellbeing and Insurers.
- Conduct internal Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy Health checks to ensure legal compliance and support the delivery of the HSE Master Plan to reduce risk and improve HSE and Energy performance.
- Manage the site's day-to-day facilities requirements, including ordering PPE and office supplies, budget control, and credit card management.
- Carry out site audits in facilities areas in conjunction with Technical and HSE standards.
- Update site communications board and conduct regular auditing of suppliers.
We are looking for a Health and Safety professional with good manufacturing experience who is looking to further develop their career in HSE. You should have a Nebosh Health and Safety Certificate and an Environmental Qualification - IEMA Certificate is desired. You should be able to demonstrate good influencing skills, experience of working with Safe Teams/Committees to drive improvements in culture and performance, and excellent understanding of relevant health and safety and Environment legislation/law and how it is practically applied.
