Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Programme Leader to lead our Molecular and Cellular Medicine research programme. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of securing funding and delivering high-quality research in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a research programme in molecular and cellular medicine, focusing on securing funding and delivering high-quality research outcomes.
  • Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to identify research priorities and develop a strategic plan for the programme.
  • Manage and lead a team of researchers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of research projects.
  • Secure funding for research projects, developing and submitting grant applications to external funding bodies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including industry and other research organisations.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of securing funding and delivering high-quality research in molecular and cellular medicine.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of researchers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan for the research programme, aligning with the goals and objectives of NERC.
