Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Materials Researcher to join our team at NERC - the Natural Environment Research Council. As a key member of our research group, you will play a crucial role in building connections and collaborations with established UKRI research programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with UKRI research programmes to enhance materials research and collaboration opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas of collaboration and potential funding opportunities.
  • Work with colleagues to develop and submit funding proposals to UKRI and other relevant funding bodies.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to early-career researchers on materials research and collaboration opportunities.
Requirements
  • PhD in Materials Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in materials research and collaboration with UKRI research programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
