Administrative Support Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support to the Leader of the Council and other Cabinet Members. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating business activities, managing correspondence, and ensuring effective communication of decisions and actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Leader and other Cabinet Members, including coordinating meetings, managing diaries, and preparing documents.
- Manage correspondence, including drafting replies and undertaking research tasks.
- Facilitate communication between the Leader, Cabinet Members, Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a local authority or public sector setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.
Location: Observatory House, Slough. The successful candidate will be required to work from this location.
