About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Change Lead to join our team at Yorkshire Building Society. As a key member of our data delivery team, you will be responsible for leading data change initiatives, leveraging agile methodologies to deliver high-quality data outcomes and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across a multi-disciplined team to ensure successful delivery of committed activities, overseeing delivery timescales and planning of concurrent deliverables
  • Use of appropriate tools to ensure effective planning and management of initiatives to provide visibility of progress
  • Conduct analysis and documentation of business requirements, use cases, and user stories
  • Resolve issues and blockers and manage escalation of these in a timely manner
  • Organise and facilitate team ways of working, including running daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and sprint planning events
  • Define, track, and communicate the benefits and value enabled through data deliverables

About You

You will have a broad knowledge of data and information landscapes and best practice, as well as experience of data change initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven track record of building solid relationships and networks, with the ability to tailor interactions across different stakeholder groups
  • Experience in leading design and delivery of data change
  • Previous experience within an agile delivery team or similar environments
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology and agile frameworks
  • Good understanding of and exposure to the general principles of project management and change delivery
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear business outcomes, with excellent verbal and written communication, gaining buy-in and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Flexibility, and the confidence and capability to tackle new tasks in sometimes unfamiliar areas
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to manage and resolve risk and competing/conflicting priorities
  • Proven ability to lead by influence across matrix teams
  • Use of professional networks and external influencers, with clear evidence of learning and development to build and maintain skills and expertise
