Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? Murphy, a leading contractor in the water infrastructure sector, is recruiting a Commercial Contract Manager to join their team in London.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial objectives on our Thames Water Framework. As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will be responsible for pricing and administration under the Main Contract and Subcontracts, assisting in the management of subcontract payment notices, and preparing periodic cost/value reconciliation reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, with experience working across civils or infrastructure projects for a contractor. You should have a thorough understanding of good commercial working principles, NEC option A, C, or E contract knowledge, and procurement/supply chain expertise. Additionally, you will need to be able to measure value adding in planned vs actual estimating and cost, and have an understanding of commercial gateway process around increasing financial limits and relevant instructions to subcontractors.

About the Project

The Thames Water AMP7 framework is a 4-year long project plus a 5-year extension into AMP8. Murphy is a Primary Contractor in Lot 5 North London Infrastructure, with a value of £200m. The framework consists of delivering ECI, detailed design, build, commissioning, and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes, including individual projects up to £30m.
