Handle Recruitment is seeking a skilled Reception Team Member - Media Sector for short-term temporary roles over the Christmas and New Year period. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to creating a positive first impression, ensuring smooth reception operations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with various media companies as a Receptionist on a temporary basis. You will play a vital part in greeting visitors and staff, managing the switchboard, coordinating deliveries and post, and maintaining a clean and polished reception area.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting visitors and staff with warmth and professionalism.
  • Managing a busy switchboard, efficiently directing calls.
  • Coordinating deliveries and post, ensuring accurate logging and distribution.
  • Maintaining a clean and polished reception area.
  • Providing administrative support when needed.
  • Acting as the first point of contact in emergencies, utilising your First Aid qualification if required.

Skill requirements:

  • First Aid and/or Fire Marshall qualification (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar front-of-house role, ideally in the media or creative sectors.
  • Strong communication skills and a welcoming, approachable manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-energy settings.
  • Flexibility and reliability, ready to adapt to short-term assignments.
