Job Summary

A unique opportunity has arisen to lead our Strategy and Planning team as the new Head of Strategy and Planning. This exciting role will see you playing a pivotal part in shaping the future direction of Companies House and ensuring the delivery of our vision and objectives.

You will join the organisation at a pivotal time, as we implement significant changes arising from the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA), and transform the way we operate to support our new role. This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop a new corporate strategy to guide Companies House's work from 2025 onwards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Companies House Corporate Strategy and strategic delivery roadmap.
  • Lead the development of Companies House's strategic planning process and production of annual business plans aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Compile and produce key Companies House products, including the Annual Report and Accounts and annual Parliamentary reports on the implementation of the ECCTA.
  • Work closely with the Data directorate and others to monitor and evaluate progress towards delivery of annual business plans and the corporate strategy.
  • Identify and address potential barriers to strategic delivery, working with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Report at Board and Executive level on progress towards strategic objectives, making recommendations to address any issues.
  • Track changes in the external environment and horizon scan, ensuring strategic assumptions are factored into planning.
  • Work with Other Government Departments and external bodies to ensure alignment through strategic level discussion.
  • Provide strategic input to Spending Review and corporate level business cases.
  • Lead corporate prioritisation processes and evaluation of proposals for new work.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive's office and external communications teams to ensure a consistent strategic narrative across Ministerial and Departmental communications.

Alongside your salary of £68,339, Companies House contributes £19,797 towards your membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
