Financial Director

Located in the picturesque North Yorkshire, we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team at a luxury hotel.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, with previous experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller in a self-accounting hotel. A thorough understanding of economics, accounting regulations, and best practices is essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Prepare timely month-end closing, including posting journals for payroll, pension, cash-related transactions, accruals, pre-paid accounts, fees, and cost allocations
- Ensure all journals, reconciliations, and related financial reports are filed for future reference and signed
- Prepare bank reconciliations for all bank accounts monthly
- Process expense claims in line with company policy and procedure
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain FF&E/FA reconciliation and ensure it remains in balance
- Prepare quarterly VAT return within prescribed deadlines
