Area Manager Delivery Operations

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our Amazon Logistics team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the efficient and safe delivery of packages to our customers.
Your main focus will be to drive a culture of safety and quality, while also overseeing process improvements and implementing changes to maintain high productivity levels.
You will work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and analyze shift performance against business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Create and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing

- Oversee projects to streamline processes and optimize productivity
- Analyze shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
- Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices
You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, ensuring it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards.
You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks.
About the TeamAmazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.
Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

Basic Qualifications- A degree
- Relevant experience in people management
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language

Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
Experience working in another logistics environment
Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
