We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Distag QCS. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting existing customers and developing new business opportunities, working closely with the Internal Sales Team and Product Line Managers to grow the business in your designated area.

The ideal candidate will have sound sales experience, preferably within one of our four product sectors, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and have the ability to build strong relationships with our customer base.

The role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a company vehicle, iPhone, and laptop.

Distag QCS is a rapidly expanding business, specialising in the distribution and manufacturing of engineering components to manufacturers and distributors throughout the UK and Ireland. Our company operates across four closely related divisions: Mechanical Power Transmission - including belts, chains, couplings, pulleys, bearings, etc., Hydraulic Components - hose, fittings, flexible and steel assemblies, valves, pumps, and cylinders, Agricultural Trailer Parts and Accessories - axles, suspensions, braking systems, drawbar components, Bespoke Products - offering design and production service from drawings or samples, complete outsourcing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Internal Sales Team and Product Line Managers to grow the business in your designated area.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements.
  • Advise clients on products or services that will best satisfy their needs.
  • Negotiate and close sales by agreeing terms and conditions.
Requirements
  • Relevant sales experience in one or more of our product divisions.
  • Degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering - beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and hands-on approach.
  • Strong Team Player and sales-orientated.
