Fulfill your passion for sports development by joining Sport Northern Ireland as a Northern Ireland Club Growth Officer In this exciting role, you will coordinate sports development initiatives, work closely with local clubs, and promote inclusive squash programs to increase participation and growth in Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of sports development and participation initiatives aligned with the Sport NI 'Power of Sport' Plan. With a focus on sustainable growth, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support existing clubs to establish a strong foundation for future growth
  • Establish new clubs to cater to emerging demand and increase accessibility
  • Assist clubs in developing and expanding junior sections and programs to engage young people
  • Develop new squash programs for underrepresented groups to promote diversity and inclusivity
  • Develop structured school programs to educate and inspire young people about squash
  • Collaborate with local councils and university sports development teams to support local clubs and build a network of squash enthusiasts
  • Design and deliver holiday mixed racquet camps for young people to provide a fun and engaging experience
  • Embed squash coaching within local sports activities classes to promote multi-sport development
  • Facilitate partnerships between clubs and other youth organizations to amplify their impact
  • Develop and implement innovative national programs to drive growth and participation
  • Coordinate the delivery of an Intervarsity Championship at Queen's University, showcasing the best of Northern Irish squash talent
  • Promote participation in local and provincial leagues to create a thriving competitive scene

Experience & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to design and deliver sports programs, events, and initiatives
  • Squash coaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Full driving license

This fixed-term contract runs until 31 March 2025, with the possibility of extension subject to continued funding from Sport NI. The salary for this role is approximately £38,000 - £48,000 per year, depending on experience.
