Pertemps Bond is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication and Welding Skills Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our training team, you will play a vital role in enriching the apprentice and employer journey by providing expert skills coaching and tutoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Deliver Engaging Teaching Sessions: Develop and deliver high-quality teaching sessions that align with industry standards, fostering the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and desired behaviors among learners.
- Provide Personalized Coaching and Skill Enhancement: Offer constructive feedback to ensure apprentices successfully complete their End Point Assessment (EPA) in a timely manner.
- Conduct Regular Tripartite Reviews: Involve the apprentice's line manager/mentor in regular reviews to ensure all parties are aligned for the successful completion of EPA within the designated timeframe.
- Support Apprentice Progression: Conduct on-site workplace visits, guiding apprentices in the creation of showcase evidence such as observations, reflective accounts, and professional discussions, all meticulously documented in the e-portfolio system, OneFile.
- Identify and Report Operational Issues: Identify any operational issues that may impede learner progression and report them to the appropriate line manager for resolution.
- Set Achievable Tasks and Provide Ongoing Support: Assist apprentices in setting achievable tasks and provide ongoing support throughout their journey, including preparation for functional skills assessments.
- Assist Employers in Understanding Training Requirements: Assist employers in understanding and fulfilling their responsibilities regarding both on-the-job and off-the-job training requirements for apprentices.
Requirements:
- Experience in Assessing within Apprenticeship Standards: Proven experience in assessing within apprenticeship standards.
- Experience of Supporting Learners: Experience of supporting learners through assignments and assessments.
- Vocationally Relevant Qualification: Vocationally relevant qualification within Fabrication and Welding at level 3 or above.
- Assessors Award: Assessors award.
- Desirable Teaching Qualification: An appropriate teaching qualification would be desirable.
