Job Title: Engineering Lecturer for Apprenticeships

Location: Worksop

Salary: Up to £31,413 plus 5K Market Force Supplement per annum (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional to transition into a teaching role; the organisation is expanding its curriculum and seeking passionate, industry-experienced individuals to help achieve its goals and develop the area as a Centre of Excellence.

As a lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment up to Level 3, covering study programmes, adult programmes, and apprenticeships within mechanical engineering, maintenance, mechatronics, and practical machining, in both workshop and classroom environments.

You will have the ability to motivate students and support them to achieve their potential, inspiring them to reach their full potential through outstanding education and training.

The key roles of a lecturer include delivering excellent teaching, completing relevant preparation and marking, and setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.

Skills and Qualifications

You will play a crucial role in developing creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and will be responsible for monitoring and tracking learner progress to promote positive outcomes for learners.

You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessor's award, or be willing to work towards.

You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical, and digital approaches, engaging learners and providing them with the best skills, knowledge, and behaviours for the future.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with Technicians, Personal Development Coordinators, Work Placement Officers, and other internal departments such as examinations and curriculum administration.
