Job Purpose:
To ensure that all servicing, maintenance, repairs, and rebuilding of equipment owned or managed by the Company is carried out in a safe, efficient, and economical manner in full accordance with Company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all company documentation is reviewed and accurate prior to equipment mobilising.
- Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Check equipment requirements against paperwork, conducting visual and measurement tests when required.
- Assist with forklift and mobile crane operations in the yard.
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist in loading/offloading of equipment.
- Inspect and evaluate returning and outgoing equipment and report issues.
- Assist with the maintenance of QC records.
- Update the ERP system with on/off hire dates.
- Perform PDI of all outgoing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Ensure compliance with defined health and safety policies/procedures and identify any areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with defined environmental policies and procedures and identify any areas for improvement.
- Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used in accordance with Company health and safety policies.
- Perform other reasonably delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience of goods in/goods out environment.
- Driving license.
- Forklift license.
- Recognised Banksman / Slinging certificate.
- Great communication skills.
- Planning and prioritising workload.
- Dependability.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Great organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
