Experienced Customs Coordinator

Overall Responsibility

To provide customs support services to Bethan Customs Consultancy. Support the coordination, development, and maintenance of the Company. The Customs Co-Ordinator will report to the Customs Co-Ordinator Team Lead or in their absence, the management team.

OperationsMonitor and manage client mailboxesCompliance Checking Import & Export EntriesPreparing import/ export amendment formsCalculation of import duty and VAT for diversions to home useManifest ValidationMSS ReconciliationDrafting End Use Bill of DischargeDrafting IP Bill of DischargeCarrying out administrative control of clients End Use materialsCarrying out administrative control of clients IP materialsSupporting Bethan Operations as and when requiredAttending meetings and business seminars as requested.

HSEQReview and follow company QMS procedures - alerting management if you become aware of discrepanciesJob specific procedure creation and amendments.

CommunicationsAssist with PR & Marketing campaigns as requestedShare ideas for company Newsletter, social media or other marketing mediums.

QHSE Responsibilities

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.

Additional Relevant Information about Job

Full UK Driving Licence essential.

**Qualifications**:
Must possess a good level of general education of at least higher grade in Mathematics and English or equivalent.

Flexibility to suit operational and client requirements.

Skills/KnowledgeThe ability to work in a team environment as well as to work unsupervisedComputer literate with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint.Motivated with the ability to exercise initiative to problem solveAbility to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload to meet demandsAccuracy, with excellent attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skills.Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with client information.A good general knowledge of customs compliance, with previous experience in customs or logistics.
