**About the Role**

We are seeking an Academic Midwifery Specialist to join our team at the University of Northampton. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of midwives and advancing the field of midwifery education.

**Responsibilities**

  • Design and deliver high-quality curricula for midwifery programs
  • Conduct research that informs midwifery practice and education
  • Supervise and mentor students to ensure their academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • HEA Fellowship (D2) or teaching qualification recognized by HESA
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant subject (desirable)
