About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Academic Museum Art Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique and valuable collection of Asian art.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the museum's Asian art collection, including acquisition, conservation, and exhibition planning
  • Develop and implement educational programs and exhibitions that showcase the collection
  • Conduct research and provide expertise on Asian art and culture
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the museum to ensure the success of exhibitions and programs
  • Monitor collection care and make recommendations for preservation and conservation

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Asian art history and culture or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in Asian art and culture, particularly East Asian art
  • Experience working in a museum or gallery setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
