Job Title: Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a caring and dedicated individual to work with children in our Breakfast Club & After School Club childcare provision at Great Bookham School.

About the Role

As a Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children aged 4 – 11 years who attend Great Bookham School. Your primary objective is to provide high-quality care and supervision during breakfast club (7.30am - 8.45am) and after school care (3.00pm - 6.00pm).

  • Develop and implement activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development in children.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless transitions between sessions.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to maintain open communication about their child's needs and progress.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Arrangements

This is a term-time only position, running Monday-Friday during school hours. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
