Lead Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a world-class manufacturer in the Bolton area, Greater Manchester. This is a 4 on 4 off schedule contract role with a competitive salary of £37-40+ Outside IR35.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing teams in high-speed FMCG sites and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, managing contractors, and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Lead a team of maintenance engineers to ensure effective maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues
  • Manage contractors and third-party maintenance providers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
