About the Role

We are seeking a Female Support Worker to join our team in Liverpool, supporting females through a trauma-aware, strengths-based program of empowerment and confidence-building.

This role involves working with vulnerable females who require practical and emotional support to achieve personal goals and work towards greater independence.

  • Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Working Pattern: 3 on 3 off shift pattern (8am - 8pm)
  • Benefits: Contributory pension scheme, 242 hours annual leave, online training package, learning and development opportunities, monthly group reflective practice sessions, and complimentary Medicash Subscription

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to females accessing the service, empowering them to work towards their aspirations and achieve their targets
  2. Promote and facilitate therapeutic support in a harm-reduction setting, encouraging residents to engage in activities that promote positive well-being
  3. Support females to maintain contact with specialist agencies, such as primary care and mental health services, and encourage involvement in on-site and external activities
  4. Facilitate positive recreational time for females, ensuring they feel part of the community
  5. Oversee the safety and security of the building, service users, and visitors at the project
  6. Support residents to become tenancy-ready, preparing them for a move onto suitable accommodation

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a similar setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, confident manner
  • A good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and the impact of factors such as single homelessness, harm reduction, domestic violence, mental health, and complex needs on individuals
