About the Opportunity

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation that prioritises the welfare and safety of children and young people.

As a Family Support Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting families and children in need, working closely with partner agencies, families, and communities to deliver effective services.

Key responsibilities include supervising family time sessions, completing wishes and feelings assessments, and producing detailed reports and analysis.

You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to build trust with vulnerable individuals.

Additionally, Enhanced DBS clearance is required due to the exempt status from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years recent experience working directly with families with multiple needs, aged 0-18
  • Ability to work in partnership with partner agencies, families, and communities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with service users, professionals, and other colleagues
  • Experience engaging and maintaining open constructive relationships with service users
  • Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and young people at all times

The salary for this role is approximately £24,750 per annum, based on average salaries in the UK for similar positions.
