About the Role:
Harrington Starr is seeking a skilled Front Office Application Support Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and functional process expertise to applications within the Securities Financing and Trading department and the Core Equities business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and functional process expertise to applications
- Undertake daily operational checks, investigating and resolving any issues identified
- Follow procedures to send service requests and escalate problems
- Gather functional requirements from front, middle, and back office investment management system users
- Maintain market awareness and provide new solutions to the business
- Respond, evaluate, and prioritize requests for assistance from users experiencing issues
- Study and provide tactical solutions when necessary
- Ensure training is provided to clients when processes change or new functionality becomes available
- Provide expertise in technical analysis to enhance business process change
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience within the Asset Management industry
- Experience working with Equities and Fixed Income
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and their application
- Great oral and written skills
- Great judgment and ability to identify problems and escalate them when necessary
- Excellent ability to build business relationships
