Job Title: Front Office Support Specialist

Emagine Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Front Office Support Specialist to join our Technology Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our trading teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactive monitoring of electronic trading connections and workflows
  • Performing critical start-of-day and end-of-day checks and procedures
  • Providing real-time technical support to traders and clients
  • Collaborating with key third-party suppliers and vendors
  • Identifying and diagnosing technical issues, taking remedial action as necessary
  • Ensuring all issues and changes are accurately logged and tracked to completion
  • Participating in team discussions to continually question and improve key processes and workflows
  • Reviewing and updating procedural documentation, including FIX and API specifications
  • Assisting in the production of key management information
  • Coordinating and documenting connectivity conformance tests and functional certifications
  • Maintaining technical contact information for key clients and vendors
  • Taking ownership of client onboarding and vendor take-on and implementation processes
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income, commodities, or equities
  • Strong knowledge of internal and external control and regulatory requirements in electronic trading
  • Experience in managing projects and relationships across front office and second-line control functions
  • Previous experience in an IT support or networking role within trading or financial services
  • Technical experience working with Linux/Unix
  • Experience using FIX protocol messaging, market-leading OMS/EMS vendors desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within financial services or technology
  • Quick learner, with ability to question and challenge
  • Commitment to learn new skills and develop existing ones
  • Keen eye for attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
