Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dementia Specialist Nurse to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and innovative nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients with dementia and delirium.

About the Role:

  • Work alongside our experienced dementia teams to develop and implement a seamless care pathway for patients with dementia and delirium.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to ward teams, patients, and their carers to ensure the highest standard of clinical care.
  • Contribute to the delivery of our trust's Dementia Education Programme, providing training and evaluating training programs.
  • Participate in clinical audits and research within the specialist area to drive quality improvement and best practice.

Requirements:

  • A registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in caring for older adults.
  • Experience working with people with dementia in an acute setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national strategy/policy and its relevance to the service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Salary Range: £43,141 - £70,180 per annum
