Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team at Smallbrook School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to teachers and pupils with complex needs, promoting educational and social development in a specialist school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to teachers and pupils, facilitating learning and social growth in a variety of classroom settings.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, teachers, and support staff, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans, ensuring pupils' needs are met and progress is monitored.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date with best practices and policies in specialist education.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards.
- Experience working with pupils with complex needs, including social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Good standard of general education, with at least a C (or equivalent) GCSE in numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of pupils and staff.
