About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team at BMC – Smallbrook School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to teachers and pupils with complex needs, promoting their educational and social development in a specialist school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to teachers and pupils, facilitating their progress and well-being in and out of the classroom.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication styles to meet individual pupil needs, ensuring sustained progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the school's cultural and behavioural expectations, embodying the values of a leading provider of education and employer of choice.

Requirements

  • Evidence of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Good standard of general education, including a C (or equivalent) GCSE in numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience working with pupils with special needs, with a commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
