About the Role:

This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures. As a Dining Support Specialist, you will assist with food preparation, sanitation, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and serve daily menu items in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain accurate production records, ensure correct temperature of food, refrigerator, and freezer, and store and label leftover food.
  • Cash Handling: Assist with recording school lunch monetary transactions and counting and balancing the cash drawer at the end of serving period.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certified in Basic Sanitation: Certification through Safe Food Handlers or National Restaurant Association is mandatory.
  • Tuberculosis-Free: You must be certified as tuberculosis-free.
