Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and assisting the Pharmacy Homecare Service Manager and Best Value Medicines and Biologics Group in cost-effective procurement and delivery of Homecare medicines and services.
  • Coordinating and communicating with clinical pharmacists and homecare providers to implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Promoting the economic use of medicines whilst actively contributing to the activities of the pharmacy department to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care for patients.

In addition, the successful candidate will maintain a locally adapted database for resources to support clinical teams with switches, liaise between clinical teams and homecare providers to support the transition of patients to best value and most cost-effective medicines, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to medicines management.
