The UK Society for Behavioural Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Programme Lead for Behavioural Medicine to oversee its Grade 8 Research Programme, which aims to reduce harm from smoking among people with serious mental illness. Led by Professor Paul Aveyard, the programme focuses on delivering impactful research outputs and promoting collaboration between researchers and healthcare professionals.

About the Job

As the Programme Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of researchers, developing and implementing research strategies, and working closely with Professor Aveyard to achieve programme goals. You will need to have a deep understanding of applied behavioural science, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire your team members.

Key responsibilities include overseeing project development, coordinating research activities, and ensuring that all programme objectives are met within established timelines. Your exceptional organisational and communication skills will enable you to work effectively with stakeholders and maintain open lines of communication throughout the programme.
