We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Mental Health Professional to join our client's secure healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with Learning Disabilities or ASD and hold Part 1 NMC registration.

The role involves managing a caseload, conducting initial assessments, developing care plans, and providing training to staff. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.

Salary: £30,728 - £36,419 per annum + Welcome Bonus of £750 payable upon successful appointment and £750 payable upon 12 months continuous service

About the Role:

  • Manage a caseload of patients with a diagnosed Learning Disability or ASD.
  • Conduct initial assessments for all new referrals, develop appropriate care plans, and follow up as needed.
  • Participate in procedures to support patients at risk of self-harm or suicide, following NICE guidance.
  • Engage in monthly supervision and annual evaluations with your line manager to assess targets, progress, and learning objectives.
  • Provide training and advice to staff on the care of patients with a Learning Disability.
  • Attend weekly Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings to ensure a cohesive approach when discussing at-risk patients.
