About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse Specialist to join our School Nursing team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will work closely with children, young people, and families to promote health and well-being.

As a specialist in school nursing, you will be responsible for assessing the health needs of individual children and the school population as a whole. You will proactively address factors affecting health to ensure that children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and manage Band 5 nursing colleagues. You will also be responsible for mentoring pre-registration students and long-arm mentoring post-registration students.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-registration experience working with children and young people, with a teaching qualification such as SLaIP/ENB 998/city & guilds 730. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this role.
