Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Public Health Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, England. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work closely with families, colleagues, and partner professionals to deliver the Healthy Child Programme.
Responsibilities
- Assessing health needs and providing health promotion and illness prevention services to the local population.
- Working closely with the primary healthcare team to address health needs of the general practice.
- Delivering the Healthy Child Programme through compassionate caring assessment, analysis of need, and developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care.
- Formulating and agreeing with families packages of care appropriate to their need.
- Carrying out health promotion and disease prevention activities.
- Providing evidence-based advice on health issues to members of the local population.
Requirements
- Registered First Level Nurse Health Visitor Certificate/Diploma/Degree.
- Evidence of recent professional development.
- Non-medical nurse prescriber.
- Knowledge of evidence-based approaches in the provision of the Healthy Child Programme.
- Ability to facilitate the learning of others in a one-to-one or group setting.
- Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and application of up to-date evidence base for the Healthy Child programme, and the 6 High Impact Areas for 0-5s.
