About the Role

Safran Landing Systems is a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, and we're looking for an experienced Engineering Group Leader to join our team in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Systems Integration team to meet agreed milestones and deliverables on time, on cost, and on quality.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scope definition, planning, cost management, communication, reporting, and problem-solving.
  • Manage and support the personal and professional development of team members.
  • Oversee team activities to support delivery and development, including resource management, performance management, and training and development.
  • Collaborate with functional managers to ensure adequate resourcing, skills, and tools are available to meet business needs.
  • Ensure team members apply relevant procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of HND level in a relevant engineering or programme management discipline, with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience of leading a team and project management.
  • Ability to act as a mentor and coach to team members.
  • Strong communication skills with multifunctional teams of suppliers and customers.
  • Project management and estimation experience is essential, with good knowledge of MS Project and Planisware Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems engineering, safety and reliability, and performance and dynamics is preferred.

Specificity of the Job

This role is office-based in Gloucester, with the opportunity for hybrid working. Working pattern is full-time, 37 hours per week across Monday to Friday (Friday finish from 1pm). Occasional travel required - UK and potentially internationally.
