About the Role

Safran Landing Systems is a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, and we're seeking an experienced Engineering Group Leader to join our team in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Systems Integration team to meet agreed milestones and deliverables on time, on cost, and on quality.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scope definition, planning, cost management, communication, reporting, and problem-solving.
  • Manage and support the personal and professional development of team members.
  • Oversee team activities to support delivery and development, including resource management, performance management, and training and development.
  • Collaborate with functional managers to ensure adequate resourcing, skills, and tools are available to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of HND level in a relevant engineering or programme management discipline, with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience of leading a team and project management, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to act as a mentor and coach to team members, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and estimation skills, with experience of MS Project and Planisware Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems engineering, safety and reliability, and performance and dynamics.
