Electrical Engineer Industrial Placement Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional industrial placement student to join our Magnet Power Supplies (MPS) Group at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the development of our pulsed power supplies design capability.
Key Responsibilities- Gather requirements and model power supply sub-systems
- Prototype and test power supplies, reporting results
- Collaborate with the MPS Group to develop design capability
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
- Able to commence employment in summer 2025
- Demonstrate an understanding of electrical/electronic circuits
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, logical approach to problem solving, organised, reliable and collaborative
- Able to communicate to both a technical and non-technical audience
- Evidence of practical experience through university labs
- Evidence of experience using CAD and/or ECAD software
