Financial Aid Specialist

Job Summary:
Financial Aid Counselors at the University of Rochester provide exceptional service to students and families, completing financial aid casework and counseling under the direction of an Assistant Director. This role involves understanding and meeting the unique needs of students, resolving difficult situations, and administering financial aid for students, including scholarships, loans, and grants.
Key Responsibilities:
Counseling students and families on financial aid options and requirements
Processing and packaging financial aid applications
Verifying student information and resolving discrepancies
Providing exceptional customer service and support
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Experience in college or university financial aid administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred. Microsoft Suite of Products or the equivalent and data analysis skills are required.
