Workshop Team Leader

At Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop in Birstall. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient allocation of tasks to technicians, monitoring the progress of repairs and services, and maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- To assist the Assistant Service Manager in liaising between service reception and the workshop on repair.
- To ensure that the right technician has been allocated the right job.
- To control and monitor the progress of the repair/service through to completion.
- To ensure high levels of quality are maintained on all work produced by the service department.
- To ensure that all service paperwork is completed to a high standard.
- To maintain excellent customer satisfaction and MOT standards.
Requirements:
- Commercial technical background or similar is essential.
- A good communicator (internally and with customers).
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Able to problem solve.
- Extremely well organised.
- Able to prioritise effectively.
- Current HGV licence would be an advantage but not essential.
- Computer skills advantageous.
