About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Specialist to join our End User Computing (EUC) team at Equiniti. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our end-users, ensuring their devices are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prioritize, analyze, track, and escalate alerts in line with our area protocols.
  • Manage incidents and service requests for users, providing clear and concise communication throughout the process.
  • Deploy desktop and laptop builds across the Group, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Work on project roll-outs, desk moves, and change requests as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Advise 1st line agents, undertake first-time fixes for agreed tasks, including user access management.
  • Escalate issues and incidents to the EUC Team Leader and IT Service Management.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for hardware/software issues, including call ownership and management.
  • Apply ITIL methodology to deliver best practice in all areas.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Microsoft products, Windows OS, Office, Teams, Exchange, Active Directory, SCCM, SCSM, Intune, Mobile devices, and Cisco.
  • Understanding of ITIL and its application in a service desk environment.
  • Confident and capable in both a team environment and working on own initiative.
  • Effective communication skills, working with both IT and non-IT colleagues.
  • Focused on detail, but capable of being flexible when competing deadlines/projects.
  • Confident and successful when planning and setting priorities for workloads.
  • Basic understanding of JAMF and deploying corporate Mac OS images and software packages to Mac laptop and desktop clients.
