About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Mears, a leading provider of social housing services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our construction projects, working closely with our local teams to provide excellent service and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of our construction teams, ensuring effective resource utilization and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality assurance accreditations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Manage employee performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain company assets, including vehicles, equipment, and materials.

Requirements

  • Strong construction knowledge and experience in social housing or local authority environments.
  • Supervisory experience in a similar operation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal skills, with the ability to compile management reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • IT literate, with experience of using relevant software and systems.
