About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Mears, a leading provider of social housing services. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of construction operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to complete their tasks effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any risks or issues that may impact the project's success.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Strong construction knowledge and experience in social housing or local authority environments.
- Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the business.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
