About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Mears, a leading provider of social housing services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the work of construction teams, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Manage employee performance, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Administer company assets, including vehicles, tools, and equipment, to ensure they are properly maintained and utilized.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Requirements

  • Strong construction knowledge and experience in social housing or local authority environments.
  • Proven supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • IT literacy and proficiency in using software applications relevant to the role.
