Job Description: As a Product Support Specialist at Hobson Prior, you will be responsible for providing technical and scientific support for tissue diagnostics instruments and reagents. This includes assisting customers remotely and on-site, performing instrument installations and validations, and supporting cellular pathology instruments and digital pathology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Technical Support: Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person visits.
  • Instrument Installations: Install and validate new instruments for demonstrations and purchases, ensuring that they meet the required specifications.
  • Supporting Instruments and Solutions: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cellular pathology instruments and digital pathology solutions, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Scheduling and Travel: Plan and manage your own work schedule and travel arrangements, including domestic and international trips as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science: A degree in biomedical science or a related field is required, with a strong foundation in clinical histopathology and IHC techniques.
  • Experience in Laboratory Settings: Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a role involving technical support or instrumentation.
  • Good Laboratory Practices: Familiarity with good laboratory practices and cellular pathology processes, including knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus and ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel as required, both domestically and internationally, for customer visits, training, and other business needs.
