About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming secondary school. The successful candidate will work with children who have a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, and Speech and Language delay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support small groups of pupils with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Work with pupils across Key Stages 2-4.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
