Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming secondary school in Rowland's Castle. This special school caters for children aged 7-16 years who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, as well as a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, and Speech and Language delay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support small groups of pupils with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Work with pupils across KS 2-4.

Requirements:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
