Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming secondary school in Rowland's Castle. This special school caters for children aged 7-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, as well as a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, and Speech and Language delay.

Job Role:
  • Supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher.
  • Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Working with pupils across KS 2-4.
Job Specification:
  • Full-time position, 8:45am – 3:15pm (Mon – Fri).
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.72.
  • Temporary to permanent contract.
  • Location: Rowland's Castle.
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
