GSL Education are currently working with a warm and welcoming secondary school situated near Rowland’s Castle. This school is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team working with children who have a range of additional needs.

This special school caters for children aged 7-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Many children also have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety and Speech and Language delay.

They are looking for someone who is nurturing and patient. A suitable candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning difficulties.

Job role:

-            Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.

-            Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and communication skills.

-            Fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in. 

-             Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.

-            Working with pupils across KS 2-4.

Job specification:

-            Full time 8:45am – 3:15pm (Mon – Fri)

-            £12.82 - £14.72 p/h

-            Temporary to permanent contract

-            Location: Rowland’s Castle

-            Start date: ASAP

To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should: 
 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
