About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Community Support Worker to join our team in the Devon area. As an Intervenor, you will work closely with adults who have been born with sight and hearing impairments, providing 1:1 support in their own homes and out in the community.

Your role will involve promoting personal and social development, encouraging independence, and enabling access to activities. You will receive specialist training in how to support individuals with dual-sensory impairments, often combined with other disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to adults with deafblindness in their own homes and out in the community.
  • Promote personal and social development, encouraging independence and enabling access to activities.
  • Work closely with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure person-centered care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • BSL Level 1 is preferable for this role, if not a willingness to work towards it.
